The Emerald Diner, named for its brilliant emerald green trim, was rescued from an abandoned cornfield in Norwich, Connecticut, and brought to Hubbard, Ohio by historical preservationist, James P. Marsh in 1993. For 18 years, the meticulously restored diner served delicious meals and desserts to the locals and many travelers as well.

Unfortunately, in August of 2012, disaster struck the diner and it was heavily damaged by fire.  After an enormous amount of work, the Emerald Diner has been restored to its original self, only bigger and better! The diner has seating for 90 people. There are several booths to accommodate parties of six and counter seating for nine. The large 500 sq. ft. kitchen in the new diner has plenty of room for state of the art equipment. Additional space is available in the full basement which could easily accommodate facilities for additional catering. The diner and bathrooms are handicapped accessible. There is also a drive-thru window to allow for easy pick up of take-out orders.

Customers dining at the Emerald Diner now have an increased selection of beverages as a difficult-to-obtain full liquor license has been issued!

The Emerald Diner is conveniently located 1 mile south of the Interstate 80 Hubbard exits on Route 62/7. A huge parking area surrounds the diner making it the perfect place to host a car show or other events.
